It is a pleasure for us to present the 19th International Conference on Mechanical Ventilation & Acute Lung Injury which will take place on April 16 – 17, 2021.

The International Conference on Mechanical Ventilation & Acute Lung Injury has become, through the years, one of the main international forums to present, analyze, discuss and promote knowledge translation – from the latest published research into the clinical management of critically ill patients requiring mechanical ventilation.

The Conference is the result of collaboration between Dr. Jesús Villar from the Hospital Universitario Dr. Negrin of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain) and Centro de Investigacion Biomedica en Red (CIBER) de Enfermedades Respiratorias; Dr. Arthur Slutsky from St. Michael’s Hospital, Toronto (Canada); and the Lung and Mechanical Ventilation Scientific Association (Asociación Científica Pulmón y Ventilación Mecánica).

The Conference Program includes lectures, workshops and an opportunity for open discussion between attendees and guest lecturers who are recognized as international experts in the field of critical care.

The conference is specifically designed for physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists working in critical care medicine, anesthesiology, and respiratory medicine – with a special interest in mechanical ventilation and acute respiratory failure in adults and children.

Simultaneous translation English-Spanish-English will be available.

We hope you will be able to attend the conference and we look forward to welcoming you in Madrid.
